G-E-T had a special assignment for Memorial Day in Trempealeau. Earlier this Semester VFW Post 1915 approached the advanced welding class to create a flag retirement box for the public to deposit their damaged flags to be retired appropriately. Hunter R. jumped at the opportunity to help. This became Hunter’s capstone project as he prepares to become a welder after graduation. His dedication and attention to detail did not disappoint. Thank you Hunter and VFW Post 1915 for this exciting opportunity. Also a special thank you to Matt R. for his donation of painting the flag box. It's outstanding!

Congratulations to the forensics team on their individual performances at UW-Madison on Friday. The team brought home three bronze medals, 8 silver medals, and Emma Dungy and Brandon Baker both earned perfect scores earning gold medals. We have four students competing virtually, and we will have their results at the end of the week. Mrs. Jelen and Mrs. Sherry would like to thank all those students that attended for making it such a great day- even the bus driver reached out to the coaches to compliment the team. You all have made us very proud over the whole season!

This week, our students showcased their hard work and leadership at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference and their efforts paid off in a big way! From hours of preparation to passionate presentations, the dedication each student poured into their projects truly shined. Good luck to the five national qualifiers this summer representing the state of Wisconsin at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. Way to represent G-E-T with pride and excellence. Your success is well-deserved!

Students in science club took a behind the scenes tour of the Como Zoo in St. Paul. They learned about the history of zoo, animal enrichment and how the animals are cared for each day. They then created some enrichment activities, fed the giraffes, got an exclusive tour and watched the polar bears interact with the enrichment activities created by the students. It was a great day!!
