Classroom Lessons
School Counselors utilize the Second Step Curriculum when teaching classroom lessons. Second Step is a classroom-based curriculum focused on teaching social-emotional skills to students from preschool through junior high. Its goal is to reduce problem behaviors and increase students' social competence by teaching skills in areas like emotional regulation, empathy, problem-solving, and positive relationships, which helps them succeed academically and socially.
The program is delivered through weekly, school counselor-facilitated lessons that are divided into units. It includes direct instruction and provides developmentally appropriate materials and activities tailored to different grade levels.

Weekend Food Bag Program
Our Weekend Food Bag Program is available to support G-E-T students and their families by providing easy-to-prepare food items for the weekend. The program is free of charge and open to any family who may benefit.
If you would like your child to receive a weekly food bag, please contact your student's school counselor. Families can enroll at any time throughout the school year, and participation can be adjusted or discontinued whenever needed.
