The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District will host its annual Child Development Screening Event on February 26, 2026, at Trempealeau Elementary School. This free event is designed for families with children ages 3–4 who reside within the district.
The screening process includes vision and hearing checks, play-based developmental screening, and access to resources that support early learning and growth. These screenings provide helpful insights into a child’s developmental progress and can identify areas where early support may be beneficial.
As part of the district’s Child Find obligations, the Early Childhood Team works closely with families to discuss concerns related to speech, motor skills, social-emotional development, or readiness for school. Early identification and partnership with families help reduce the need for more intensive services later on.
Families are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance. To reserve a time, contact Karen Smith at 608-582-4657 ext. 1904 or email karensmith@getschools.k12.wi.us.
