☀️❄️ Snow much fun at Ettrick Elementary! ❄️☀️
The students were all smiles this week as the temps warmed up just enough to enjoy some snowy adventures. Snow angels, snowmen, and so many giggles—it’s safe to say winter fun is in full swing! ⛄️✨

On the evening of January 8, 2025, four 5th grade students participated in the annual Trempealeau County Conservation Speaking Contest. Students researched and wrote 3-5 minute speeches that they presented in front of a 3-person panel in the Trempealeau County Board Room in Whitehall. All four competed in the elementary division for 5th and 6th graders. All 4 students performed very well and made it very hard for the judges to determine a winner. In the end, the results were as follows:
1st: Sophie Schaefer (6th Grade)—"Root for Change: We Need Trees!"
2nd: Lillian Triana (5th Grade)—"Bee Aware!"
3rd: Annalise Tabbert (5th Grade)—"The Little Monster" (emerald ash borer)
4th: Jett Leffelman (5th Grade)—"A Quarter Century of CWD in Wisconsin"
5th: Jessica Kitchner (5th Grade)—"Decrease in Butterflies in Our Area"
Congratulations to all participants!
